Hawaii!

We are all very excited that Becoming Green will be on vacation for the next week! We’re going to Kona, Hawaii which is quite possibly the most environmentally destructive vacation as it begins with a 3,300 mile flight. We’re well aware of the irony of posting this on a blog about our journey in becoming green, but as we’ve said before we’re trying to be better without worrying about perfect.
We have a few blog posts queued up while we’re away, but we won’t have a post everyday while we’re gone. We also won’t likely be able to respond to comments or answer emails. Look for some interesting vacation related posts when we get back. We’ve already found 2 farmers markets for the first full day we’re there for some fresh local eating and of course we’ll be enjoying the awesome nature that Hawaii has in spades.

Hey Catherine, he was in a really good mood briefly between teething when we took this picture the other night. We thought it was fitting to show how excited we are about Hawaii.

Thanks Amanda! I'm sure we'll have some posts about all the delicious things you can get at tropical sea level that we aren't used to eating.
