They are all things we ate at dinner last night! Yes… quite the random assortment. We got home from farm CSA pickup and were really hungry so made a salad, cooked some turnip greens, and scrambled duck eggs real quick while we waited for our grass fed steak and roasted potatoes and turnips to be ready. We wanted to buy eggs at the farm while we were there but they were out of regular eggs and only had duck eggs. We tried them for the first time last night and they were delicious. I usually don’t like eggs much but I tried a bite of Jeremy’s and then kept eating them. They don’t have the weird “eggy” flavor (for lack of a better description) that eggs have and they are mostly yolk and very little white. I’m not sure what it was that we liked so much but if you get a chance definitely try some.

I have never had duck eggs! I can be very "nervous" about trying new foods. I thought it was brave of me to try brown chicken eggs, LOL.
My CSA hasn't started their season yet! I thought I would have something by now and I'm waiting for them to answer my email. I can't wait to get started with it.

I'm not going to lie, i was nervous about the duck eggs because I don't really even like chicken eggs much, so it's really crazy I actually liked them!
I hope your CSA gets started soon! Some of the others around here haven't started yet either, and we are mostly just getting greens right now because the season is still really early.

Yeah I was very nervous about the duck eggs too especially since they were all muddy since it had been raining and ducks lay their eggs on the ground. They really were MUCH better than chicken eggs. We've made scrambled duck eggs twice now with just a bit of ground salt and pepper on top after they are done, quite delicious.

Duck eggs are fantastic, a duck egg quiche is a whole lot richer than one made with chicken eggs. They've got about twice the fat of a chicken egg, but I definitely think they are worth it.

Definitely! I was wondering how duck eggs hold up in recipes, I would guess since there is more yolk it is a little different, but I bet they would be perfect for a quiche.

Well, I'm not convinced, LOL. I am such a chicken. I will use the "higher fat content" reason to avoid duck eggs. I often just use egg whites for my omelettes to minimize my fat intake.
All the other food looks great though. I'm not sure I've ever had turnip. My mom used to serve what she called turnips when I was a kid, and they were horrid – but my sister says it was actually rutabaga.
