I just realized I forgot to talk about the best part of the class! I won a free book in a drawing. According to the ladies teaching the class The Ball Blue Book of Preserving is the best book around for canning recipes. I took a look through it and it does look really good, and has a lot of pictures with step by step instructions.

Hope your trip to Asia was fun! I'll have to talk to Sean about what he's been canning. I want to start easiest first. :) Hopefully you'll be able to find some classes to take too, or at least have Sean show you how.

I'm catching up on reading your site now that we're back from Asia! That's a realy good idea about taking classes about canning. Sean's been doing a lot of canning in the last couple of years and I love when he gives us stuff - he's made sauces, jams, salsas, etc and they're so delicious. Maybe it's time I learned how to do it myself too.
