Those tomatoes look pretty tasty, and I don't even really like tomatoes all that much! We've gotten about 6 tomatoes off of our 2 plants, and about 4 more are ready to ripen, but I think that will be it for the season. Let's see...10 tomatoes, about $30 for all of the equipment/plants, those are some expensive tomatoes! :)

Ha, I definitely feel that way. At the beginning of the season i was really excited because i'd snuck like 3 servings of greens into one meal, then I kept counting how many greens we'd get in meals until Jeremy got annoyed with me for talking about it too much. :)

Well, the only organic pest control tip I know of is to plant marigolds near tomato plants. The pests that eat the tomato plants are supposed to like marigolds better so they'll eat them instead (at least i think that's the theory). Everyone at our garden has marigolds near the tomatoes, we planted some too and haven't had any issues with pests, but we could also just be lucky. :)

Ever feel like trying to eat all the veggies from your CSA and garden is a sort of competition/game (albeit a fun game)? Lately as Jeff and I plan our meals for the week we have been focusing on how many servings of veggies we can eat with each meal.
